The House of Testimony

To Visit. To Experience. To Remember.

At Beit HaEdut, history is not simply remembered – it is experienced. Join us in transforming historical memory into a living journey of moral responsibility, resilience, and continuity.

Our Story: An Optimistic Approach to Remembrance

Founded in the early 1990s by a group of Holocaust survivors – veterans of the Bnei Akiva youth movement in Central Europe – Beit HaEdut (The Testimony House) was established in Moshav Nir Galim with a deep sense of mission: to turn Holocaust memory into a living asset for shaping Jewish and Israeli identity.

As an "Optimistic Holocaust Museum," we approach the history of the Shoah not only through the lens of destruction and loss, but through the profound "points of light" that emerged from the darkness: Jewish resilience, mutual responsibility, leadership, Jews rescuing fellow Jews, and the ultimate, courageous choice to rebuild life after the fracture.

Guided by the timeless wisdom, "In remembrance lies the secret of redemption" (בזכירה סוד הגאולה), we believe that remembering the past is not a passive backward glance. Instead, it is a dynamic, living compass that connects us to our roots, shapes our shared identity, and drives us to take active moral responsibility for our future.

Remembrance is not a page of the past left behind; it is a living compass that inspires active responsibility, hope, and renewal in the Land of Israel.
